ABOUT ME
‘My name is Darrell Godliman. I'm an Architectural Designer & semi-pro Photographer living and working in Oxford, England. I’ve been taking photos for over thirty years having originally become involved in photography as a means to express my Architectural ideas whilst at University.
I’ve been fortunate to have travelled widely since being bitten by the travel bug when I visited Russia in 1989. I was new to photography at the time but the photos I came back with proved to be a great record of the trip as well as a way of communicating my passion for the places and people I’d met.
Since then I’ve been all over the world, highlights include photographing a Nepalese friend’s Wedding in Kathmandu, a trip to New Zealand and a month long honeymoon travelling the West Coast of the USA visiting the Cities and the National Parks. Washington DC is also dear to me having lived there for six months, a project to photograph a day in the life of the Lincoln Memorial yielded some of my favourite ever photos.
This website contains some of my favourite photos but I have over 12000 photos online at www.flickr.com/darrellg. If you're interested in licensing any of them please get in touch via dg-photos@hotmail.com giving details of your proposed use. For commercial uses I would normally look to charge a modest license fee.
High quality photographic prints can also be sent worldwide, prices upon request subject to size, number of prints and postage. I have published three photographic books of my travels to Paris, Barcelona and New Zealand, they can be purchased via my Blurb bookstore. My next project is a book of Oxford photos.
My photos have appeared on book covers, in calendars, magazines, brochures, company reports, videos, websites and a restaurant wall in Amsterdam. Past clients include Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Bradt Travel, the University of Oxford, HSBC and many national and international publishers. My work has been included in a number of photography exhibitions and I've had interviews published in Advanced Photographer and Digital Photography Enthusiast Magazine.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
